Appointments

Appointments System

Routine appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery on 020 8866 3430/6589 or 020 8868 7716. Patients with urgent problems will normally be seen the same day, such requests must be for genuine urgency and not for reasons of convenience.

You have the right to see the GP of your choice however this means that there will not be as many appointments available to offer you and that you may have to wait longer to see that particular doctor.

Please attend on time for your appointment and inform us early if you need to cancel your appointment.

Please be patient if the Doctor is running late as this is usually due to devoting extra time to those with complicated problems.

Whilst privacy is at all times respected, please try to give your receptionist any details that would help towards prioritising your care and ensuring that your appointment is suitable for your needs.

As the appointment time is only for 10 minutes try to limit yourself to one or 2 problems per visit. Alternatively you may want to book a double 20 minute appointment.

Patient Access

The practice is able to offer patients the facility to book and cancel appointments online with Patient Access via the link at the top of this page.  You will also able to request repeat prescriptions simply by logging on to a secure website.  Please ask a member of our reception team for an application form.

Telephone Calls

The doctors are available to take telephone calls daily between 11:45am and 12:15pm to discuss blood test results, medication queries and admin matters.   If you require a telephone consultation to discuss a medical matter please book a telephone consultation so that the appropriate amount of time can be allocated.

Please note that all telephone calls are recorded.

Please note that surgeries do sometimes over run due to emergencies and you may be advised that the doctor is unavailable and will therefore call you back.

Extended Practice Opening Hours

The Extended Access Hub is a service where you can see a Doctor or Nurse during the evening or at weekends at a local Hub.  They will be able to see you with your full computer records.

Our reception team will be happy to check the availability and book available appointments on request.

Home Visits

Home visits are only available to those patients who are too ill, or disabled and immobile, to come in to the surgery. Please come to the surgery whenever possible as facilities here are far better for examination.

Lack of transport or convenience are not acceptable reasons for home visits. In genuine need please telephone the surgery.

Routine requests should be made before 10.00am.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
